Bioethanol fires are powered by an eco-friendly and sustainable liquid fuel derived from plant extracts. These fires boast a clean and efficient operation, eliminating the need for a chimney or flue system. With no smoke, ash, or dust production, they maintain high efficiency without heat loss. Bioethanol-fueled fireplaces offer an excellent alternative to traditional gas, wood, or multifuel fires.

Delivery & Returns
Delivery Timeframe and Charges:
- Mainland England, Wales, and industrial Scotland: Receive your order within 3-5 working days.
- Preferred Delivery Days: Add your preferred delivery day (Monday to Friday) at checkout, though not guaranteed.
- Stoves Delivery: Stoves arrive on a pallet, often weighing over 200kg.
- Delivery Method: Delivered by a third-party courier within 5-7 working days; specific day requests possible.
- Delivery Process: Expect doorstep/kerbside delivery; driver assistance may vary.
- Delivery Window: Be available between 8 am and 6 pm on delivery day; couriers may call 30-45 minutes before arrival.
- Safe Delivery: If you're not home, delivery can be left in a 'safe place' at your own risk.
Delayed Deliveries:
- Notification: We'll inform you of any delays as soon as possible.
- Loss Coverage: We don't cover loss of earnings or installer fees due to delays.
- Preparation Time: Order at least 2-3 working days in advance of installation.
Access and Vehicle Size:
- Access Notification: Notify us if you have restricted access; smaller vehicles may require assistance unloading.
- Safe Delivery: Driver discretion ensures safe delivery; alternative arrangements are made if access is problematic.
Despatch & Shipping Guidelines:
- Despatch Time: Orders typically despatch within 24 business hours, up to 3 business days during peak seasons.
- Notification: You'll receive an email once your order is sent out.
- Delivery Schedule: Deliveries occur on business days, excluding weekends and bank holidays.
- Carriage Options: Choose from various shipping durations based on your preference.
- Express Shipping: Orders placed before 12 pm with express shipping will be despatched the same day.
Receipt of Stoves or Large Palletised Orders:
- Delivery Type: Stoves and bulk orders arrive palletised via a one-man, curbside service.
- Manpower Requirement: Ensure you have enough manpower to receive and transfer palletised orders.
- Redelivery: Failure to accept delivery may result in additional charges.
Acceptance Protocols for Deliveries:
- Thorough Examination: Carefully inspect items, especially stoves, upon delivery before providing your signature.
- Damage Reporting: Sign for damaged items and notify both the driver and Henley Stoves within 7 days.
Returns Information:
- Advance Notification: Notify us of your intention to return within 30 days of receiving the items.
- Return Process: Await acknowledgement, then return unused goods in appropriate packaging within 14 days.
- Refund/Replacement: We'll issue a refund/credit or replacement upon receiving the returned items.
- Non-Refundable Items: Certain bespoke items are non-refundable due to their nature.
Warranty
Room Heater Stoves
- 5-Year Warranty: Covers the main body of the stove for manufacturing defects. Excludes damage from impacts or over-firing.
Boiler Stoves
- 3-Year Warranty: Covers the boiler for manufacturing defects. Excludes damage from impacts or over-firing.
Warranty Activation:
- A 1-year standard manufacturer's warranty applies per EU regulations. To activate your warranty, register online within the first 3 months of installation, otherwise, the warranty will be void.
Covered in the First Year:
- Grates, baffle plates, and bricks.
- Glass is covered for thermal shock (clouding/glazing) in the first year.
Not Covered Under Warranty:
- Fire Bricks: Hairline cracks are normal; replacement is only necessary upon total disintegration.
- Routine Maintenance: Fire rope, door handle/nuts and bolts, paint peeling, bricks cracking, grate, glass, or baffle replacement.
- Rust: Unless reported before installation/on delivery.
- Incidental or consequential damages, labour, or installation costs.
- External Factors: Damage from unadopted chimneys, thunderstorms, dampness, faulty plumbing, faulty fuel, or mistreatment.
- Lack of Annual Servicing: As per manual instructions.
- Smoke Issues: Not covered during refuelling; considered an installation issue.
Fireplaces
- No standard warranty. Cases evaluated individually for manufacturing faults.
Electric Fires
- Automatic 1-Year Guarantee: Contact service@henleystoves.com for technical issues.
British Fires Electric Appliances
- Automatic 1-Year Guarantee.
- Free 3-Year Guarantee with Registration: Register on www.britishfires.com/guarantee within the stipulated time.
- Consumables are not covered by the 3-year guarantee.
Pellet Stoves
- 2-Year Guarantee: Valid from the date of first start-up, within 20 days of purchase, by a certified technician.
- Installation Conditions: Must follow specific installation criteria.
- Maintenance: Annual maintenance by a certified technician is required.
Exclusions:
- Incorrect installation, negligence, incompetent use, unauthorized repairs, transportation damage, modifications, or wear-and-tear parts are not covered.
